Ramadan dinners for Gucci in Dubai and Doha
Rediscovering Ramadan Traditions: A Contemporary Perspective, where we emphasized values over conventional motifs, and bridge the connection between the past and future, modernizing this legacy for a fresh, forward- thinking approach. In perfect alignment with Gucci's fashion-forward, contemporary ethos.
Specially for the event an artist and poet Sarah Almehairi created an art installation. ‘Line Up the Sun’ is a text based installation consisting of language and light. Deriving from Almehairi's prominent use of language in her practice, both formally and visually, she centers the themes of time and self through the nature of light in this work.
